Car seat safety check event planned

SANDPOINT — Is your child riding safe?

Maybe you are you a new or expecting parent who is unfamiliar with car seats or latch systems. Or maybe you aren’t sure what the appropriate seat is based on your child’s age, weight and height.

Thanks to a car seat safety check planned for May 22 by Bonner General Health and Safe Start, you don’t have to wonder or worry. The event, planned for 11 a.m.-2 p.m., will be held BGH's Health Services Building, 423 N. Third Ave., Sandpoint..

Certified safety seat technicians will be on site to inspect your child’s installed car/booster seat to ensure proper fit and safety.

A limited number of seats will be available to replace any old, ill-fitting or unsafe seats for anyone in need.
