79-year-old Carol Wright finishes her sixth Boston Marathon

Carol Wright, a 79-year-old Bonner County resident, was the oldest woman to finish this year's Boston Marathon held on Oct. 11.
It was her sixth Boston Marathon and she came in sixth in the 75 to 79 age group with a time of 5 hours, 27 minutes and 18 seconds. Last year due to COVID-19, she ran the race virtually in Hope.
Wright is hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon again and achieve her goal of running in the event at 80 or older.
