Naomi A. Weisz, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Kootenai, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. prior to services. Burial will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Naomi was born on August 24, 1932 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to William and Ida Taylor. She graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1951 and attended business college in Spokane. She married Dale Thompson in Sandpoint in 1959, they divorced in 1967. She worked as a waitress and bartender in Sandpoint, and later operated Nomie’s bookkeeping until 2011.

Naomi was married to Don Tobias for 7 years, and then married George Weisz in 1983. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Sandpoint Pool League. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, crocheting, going out to dinner, and a good joke.

Naomi is survived by two children Anna (Jeffrey) Chicks of Sagle and Roy (Brenda) Thompson of Ponderay; four grandchildren Sarah Chicks, Daniel (Alisha) Thompson, John (Tamar) Doty, and Crystal Baines; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Lloyd Taylor and sister Mary Ellen Hinkle.
