Angels announce community grants

| November 13, 2021 1:00 AM

Several years ago, Angels Over Sandpoint members came to the realization that they could not do everything they wanted to for the community.

They also realized there were many struggling non-profits who could benefit from the Angels’ fundraising skills to do just that work.

However, with their financial help, the organizations could combine their talents with the Angels’ fundraising to make the community a better place.

Thanks to generous donations from the community, Angels Over Sandpoint announced the return of its community grant program for Bonner County charitable and educational organizations. These grants are made twice a year, in the fall and spring.

This year, for the fall grants cycle, the Angels Over Sandpoint was happy to be able to grant the following deserving non-profits:

• Arts Alliance (dba Creations) — grant to buy art supplies for free preschool art classes.

• Food For Our Children — grant to purchase food for the weekend backpacks sent home with students in need.

• Hope Memorial Community Center — grant to purchase a special 120-foot screen to use with their projector for events.

• Bonner County Historical Society — grant to purchase archival materials to help preserve the history of our county for future generations.

• Bonner General Health’s Family Center Maternity Unit — grant to purchase newborn infant sleep sacks to help prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
