Free wellness services offered today for both people and pets

SANDPOINT — Better Together Animal Alliance, Bonner Community Food Bank, and Bonner Partners in Care are hosting a free wellness event for the whole family today, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.

• BTAA - Physical health exams, dog and cat vaccines, free microchipping, and free dog and cat food (while supplies last), and free winter clothes from the BTAA Thrift Store.

• Bonner Community Food Bank - Monthly food boxes and Thanksgiving meal kits (while supplies last).

• Bonner Partners in Care - Blood pressure screenings and A1c checks.

• Lake Pend Oreille School District - Bike helmet checks and helmets for those that need replacing.

“When we work together to care for both people and their pets, we help to better the lives of families across our region,” Mandy Evans, BTAA Executive Director, said. “The One Health model allows us to bring human and pet health services together to provide support for the whole family.”

Wednesday’s One Health event is free to the public. This is the final One Health event for 2021, but more events are planned for spring 2022.
