Who is included in definition of the far left?

| November 23, 2021 1:00 AM

Many are fed up by far-left progressives like Shelby Rognstad lecturing us all about “extremism” and “divisiveness.”

What extremism is the mayor talking about? I noticed he did not speak it by name. Of course we are all to assume it’s those dastardly right-wingers, eh? It is a total non-sequitur for Mayor Rognstad or any other leftist politician to talk about extremism in the Republican Party. The far left are out toppling statues and burning entire police precincts to the ground as mainstream Democrats publicly bails rioters out of jail. Revolutionary Marxist organizations like Black Lives Matter murder police officers while lecturing the public about equity. For their efforts they get an entire street named after them in our nation’s Capitol. Mayor Rognstad needs to check his far-left extremist privilege before he mentions “extremism” and “Republican Party” in the same sentence.

But I do have one very important question for him — in this day and age, what would he consider to be “far-left” today? The establishment has decided Trump is “extreme far-right” for simply wanting a border and sensible trade deals. So who is far left? Definitions are important. Where are the goalposts? This needs to be answered by the left; it never is.
