CLARK FORK — Carter Sanroman scored five rushing touchdowns to help Clark Fork football secure a 48-32 Homecoming victory over Wallace on Friday night.

The Wampus Cats stormed past the Miners 46-14 in their first matchup on Sept. 3, but Wallace led 18-14 at the half on Friday.

"It was a tight one," head coach Brian Arthun said. "I want to hand it to Wallace, they showed up with a lot of fight and had us on the ropes, but we made some adjustments at halftime."

Clark Fork scored five touchdowns in the second half.

"We came out in the third quarter on the opening drive and drove it down the field to send a statement, and then we just pulled away from there," Arthun said.

Sanroman had a 55-yard touchdown and two 40-yard scores.

"He had a monster second half," Arthun said. "He just the put the team on his shoulders and carried us."

Antonio Mayorga had a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

"Antonio played really well," Arthun said. "He had some big runs up the gut and played well on defense. He had a couple sacks and was in the backfield all day."

Clark Fork (4-1) hosts North Star League foe Mullan-St. Regis at 7 p.m. next Friday.
