Festival welcomes Paul Gunter to FAS staff

| October 19, 2021 1:00 AM

The Festival at Sandpoint is excited to welcome Paul Gunter to their staff.

Gunter has been with the Festival for over 23 years to help produce the two-week summer concert series. He took on the role of site manager in 2007 and has been the production manager since 2019. Gunter is now the Festival at Sandpoint’s full-time education and production manager.

Gunter’s passion for music began at a young age. Raised in a house filled with music, he began singing and playing numerous instruments very early on.

Over the years, he developed a passion for teaching others and spent more than 15 years in music education. Gunter remains an active member of the local music scene - performing in several groups, producing concerts and events, and working with other community-based organizations.

The Festival team is excited for their new opportunities that come with Gunter. After starting the Festival’s new Live from the 525 mini-concert series, Gunter has plans to further develop the nonprofit’s outreach, educational opportunities, and community events.

“We are thrilled to welcome Paul to our team full-time, and the talent, passion, and knowledge that he brings to the Festival at Sandpoint," Festival Executive Director Ali Baranski said. "Our organization is incredibly lucky to have Paul’s level of expertise locally and there is no one more deserving of the position. We look forward to seeing how Paul will help expand our mission, music education programs, and overall community impact.”
