SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Middle School tennis team wrapped up another successful season recently with its 15th annual Bombers vs. Rollers intrasquad tournament.

The Bombers emerged victorious once again. Head coach Kent Anderson said the Bullpups had about 20 dedicated athletes this fall and they all showed tremendous improvement.

"Somehow we made it through the season without a rainout and the kids got numerous hours of tennis in," he said. "The typical middle school season consists of technical stroke production, movement drills, the infamous Sandpoint drill and, of course, the Bombers vs. Rollers tournament, followed by our end-of-season pizza party."

Anderson can't wait until next fall.

"I’m already looking forward to fall of 2022 when our seventh graders come back as experienced eighth-grade hitters," he said. "We had a fantastic group of kids."
