Suppiger has the qualities need for board seat

| October 28, 2021 1:00 AM

I urge the voters of the Lake Pend Oreille School District to re-elect Gary Suppiger as trustee. I’ve known Gary well for 45 years and can testify to his character, drive, intellect and numerous abilities. Gary has been a successful businessman in a difficult industry. He and his wife Sally have raised 3 well educated, professionally successful children in Bonner County. His time proven and ably demonstrated skills in analysis and problem solving have proven to be of great benefit to this position and district constituents.

I’ve heard that Gary has been mischaracterized as a progressive ideologue in favor of ever intrusive government; nothing can be further from the truth. Gary has always approached any political, business or personal issue from a logical and informed stance. He does not engage in any emotional, fallacious or dogmatic arguments but has always exercised reason, balance and courtesy in any discussion. I can also state that Gary’s mind is never at rest but always working on issues. He is a fiscal conservative, keenly aware of his responsibilities to and the financial burden on taxpayers. His business management experience and financial expertise, sorely lacking in his opponent, will continue to be of great benefit to this district.

I ask that LPOSD voters consider the qualities of the man, as well as his outstanding record to date in this position of public trust, when they cast their vote this November.
