North Idaho Volleyball tryouts next Saturday

SANDPOINT — The North Idaho Volleyball Club will be holding team tryouts for the 2022 season on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Sandpoint Middle School.

Tryouts for the U12 and U14 players are at 3:30-5 p.m., followed by the U16s and U18s at 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The registration deadline for a five-week clinic series for seventh to 12th graders is also nearing.

Participants will learn from NIVBC coaching director Jack Dyck along with the club's coaching staff. Dyck is bringing in specialty coaches to help focus on certain skill sets.

In this clinic, players will gain the confidence and skills needed to develop or continue solid volleyball fundamentals.

The series will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from Nov. 15-Dec. 15 inside the Farmin-Stidwell Elementary School gym. The week of Thanksgiving, clinics will be held on Monday, Nov. 22, and Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Players must register by Wednesday, Nov. 3. Cost is $250 per player for the five weeks of coaching, and includes a grab bag and T-shirt. There is a 20% discount for each additional player per immediate family.
