Road work resulting in detour

SANDPOINT — Emergency repair of a failing roadway embankment is resulting in a detour on North Boyer Road beginning on Monday.

Motorists using North Boyer will be detoured around construction, for approximately two weeks, to enable repair of the embankment. 

North Boyer will be fully closed to all motorists immediately north of the Bonner County Fairgrounds, between Jenny Lane and Vedelwood Drive. Detour signs will route vehicles to U.S. 95 and Bronx Road.

The city of Sandpoint’s contractor will ensure access to residents on Jenny Lane and Vedelwood Drive is maintained at all times. All work will occur during daytime hours. The repair will not impact the recently paved roadway and upon completion will include new guardrail and improve safety along the corridor.
