Be on the lookout for CHAFE riders
Be on the lookout for bicyclists this Saturday.
More than 250 bikes and cyclists of all shapes and sizes will be participating in the 14th annual CHAFE 150 Gran Fondo. Cyclists will be on many area roads from 6 a.m. until early Saturday evening.
Most of the cycling traffic will be along US 95, Selle Road and Highway 200.
The rides will be from 150 miles down to 25 miles. Most rides start and stop at City Beach. The 80- and 100-mile riders will be bussed to Troy and will return to Sandpoint via Highway 56 and Highway 200.
Sandpoint Rotarians are marking the roads today and late tonight with warning signs and early Saturday, more than 100 orange Riders on Road and other large metal warning signs will be erected along the routes.
Rotarians will also be patrolling the route with support vehicles.
