Another Saturday in high school sports means another loaded slate.

For some, it's a time to build on past successes; for others it's a time for redemption.

For example, the Sandpoint softball team will travel to Lewiston for a doubleheader against the Bengals today.

The Bulldogs have lost four out of their last five games but have made strides to get better after each loss.

Sandpoint is entering the game in last place in the 4A inland Empire League with a 1-10 overall record.

The Bengals are 7-5 and in third place in the 5A Inland Empire League.

A team looking to build on their success is the Sandpoint tennis team.

The Bulldogs have only fallen to one 5A Inland Empire League team this year, that being Lewiston.

The Bengals will come to Sandpoint this time around to take on the Bulldogs.

The last time these two teams squared off was on March 15, with Lewiston defeating Sandpoint 9-3.

Finally, a team looking for redemption. Priest River softball against Bonners Ferry.

The last time these two 3A Intermountain League foes squared off was on April 13, splitting the doubleheader.

Runs were not hard to come by. The two teams were just one run shy of combining for 100 runs.

The Badgers won game one 27-17, and the Spartans won game two 32-23.

The two face off today at 11 a.m. at Bonners Ferry.
