SANDPOINT — Mountain West Bank has appointed Scott Boekenoogen and Ted Zimmerman to manage its branches in Sandpoint and Ponderay, respectively.

Boekenoogen has worked for Mountain West Bank since August 2018 as a teller, personal banker, and customer service manager in the Sandpoint and Newport branches. He also serves in the Idaho Army National Guard as a water treatment specialist, is a Laclede Community Center board member, and supports the arts through orchestra performances with local groups.

Prior to moving to Sandpoint in 2018, Boekenoogen worked in veterinary and medical research at R&D and healthcare facilities in Fort Dodge and Manning, Iowa. He earned a bachelor's degree in health science from Corban University in Salem, Ore., and attended the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman.

Meanwhile, Zimmerman began his banking career in 2005 in Colorado as a personal banker and lender at Wells Fargo. He moved to Sandpoint in 2009 and worked as a customer service representative, treasury manager, and personal banker at Panhandle State Bank before joining Mountain West Bank nearly six years ago as the Sandpoint Branch customer service manager.

Mountain West Bank was founded in Coeur d'Alene in 1993. The bank offers a complete array of personal and commercial financial services. In addition to its Coeur d'Alene headquarters, Mountain West Bank operates 21 branches, financial service centers, and lending centers throughout Idaho and eastern Washington.
