COEUR d’ALENE — The Clark Fork tennis duo of Emily Meyers and Jamie Herrick played four short sets to four against league opponent Coeur d’Alene Charter on Wednesday, April 27.

The duo partnered up and played doubles and ended the day 0-4 against the Panthers.

Their most competitive match of the gauntlet came when they went up against Elisa Francensi and Shaelynn Oxford; they ultimately lost the match 3-4.

In their first match of the four-match stretch, they fell to Taylor Peterson and Raeana Kendra 1-4.

In their second and last match they failed to earn a set victory losing 0-4 to both Eden Harger and Jessi Gar-Coles, along with Danika Nowak and Jillian Provost.

Clark Fork coach Jeff Emmer noted that even in defeat, these losses will help the duo for future matches throughout the season.

"As you can see, not a lot of games won but a good day nonetheless," Emmer said. "The girls are still learning how to play together and what works and what doesn't."

The Wampus Cats are currently competing at the Inland Empire tennis tournament in Spokane.
