Local non-profits will participate in Idaho Gives
SANDPOINT – Local non-profits will be taking part in Idaho Gives online fundraising competition, to earn money for the causes and services they provide.
Idaho Gives is a program from the Idaho Nonprofit Center and is powered by ICCU. This program raises money and awareness of the nonprofit organizations in Idaho, with fundraising events, workshops, and meet-n-greets with cooperating non-profits.
Since 2013, Idaho Gives has held an annual event to encourage online giving to charitable organizations that are otherwise overlooked by government agencies. In the spirit of broadcasting the state's nonprofit stories and giving organizations to a way engage with donors, the program has raised $12 million to date.
With organizations like American Heritage Wildlife Foundation in Clark Fork, Memorial Community Center in Hope, and Community Cancer Services in Sandpoint, the competition will see its fair share from Bonner County with over ten organizations participating.
The competition begins May 2nd at midnight (MT), will end May 5th at Midnight (MT), and, will be the “biggest” fundraising competition between all registered Idaho Nonprofits.
Sponsors of the event have created categories for bonus cash prizes that will be awarded to organizations that complete specific tasks. Meaning organizations have the opportunity to win more funding than what comes from donations.
