Legal Notice Bonner County Considering Adoption of New Ordinances for Municipal Airports The Board of Bonner County Commissioners will be considering the adoption of a new chapter of Bonner County Ordinances which shall be applicable to the Sandpoint and Priest River municipal airports. The proposed ordinances are available for public review in the Bonner County Commissioner's Office. Proposed Airport ordinances, affecting the Sandpoint and Priest River Airports ("Airports"), will establish a fee schedule for adjacent properties that are granted Airport access. Recreational/incidental business users will be charged an annual fee of $750.00. Commercial user annual fees will be based on the square footage of the commercial use property, calculated as: the Airport's adjusted public area maintenance rate multiplied by the square footage of the property. The Airport's initial adjusted public area maintenance rate is $0.08 per square foot. New users without vested Airport access rights will be charged a one-time $200,000.00 fee if the County and the Federal Aviation Administration approves user access this fee is in addition to the annual fees described above. All expenses involved with granting access from an adjacent property to the Airports, including but not limited to, ALP update and any NEPA actions shall be charged to applicant at cost. The following fees will also be increased: the monthly tie-down fee to $65 from $30 and the daily tie-down fee to $10 from $6" The Board of Commissioners are seeking feedback and comments from the residents of Bonner County on the proposed ordinances.
