Joseph P. Henry, 61

Joseph P. Henry, 61, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away August 2, 2022, with his wife and family by his side.

He was born May 17, 1961, in Chicago Illinois, the son of Joseph J. and Mary Ann Henry. He married Mary Smith on June 10, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea.

Joe served in the United States Army from March 11, 1987, to March 30, 1995. Honorably discharged he was proud of his time in the service. Joe also worked as an orthopedic tech at Rockwood Clinic in Spokane before working at Bonner General Health from 2009 to 2017 in the IS department.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his mother, Mary Ann Henry; eight siblings, Christine Hornback, Joanne Hibbler, Patty Henry, Molly Rohrer, Tom Henry, Jack Henry, Eileen Ament, and Martin Henry; numerous nieces and nephews and his three fur babies.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J. Henry; father-in-law, Lenny Smith; and sister, Julie Ann Henry.

Interment with military rights and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Due to his love of dogs, in lieu of cards and flowers, family is asking donations be made in his name to the local animal shelter, Better Together Animal Alliance.
