Jennifer Kay Scott, 70

| August 12, 2022 1:00 AM

Jennifer Kay Scott, 70, of Clark Fork, Idaho went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel in Clark Fork, on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 5 p.m. A dinner will follow.

Jennifer was born January 16, 1952 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of Robert and Edna Wright. She grew up in Portland and had her son Jarrett in 1970. On January 20, 1978 she married the love of life, Tom Scott. He brought two children to the family Kelli and Tommy. As a family, they moved to Clark Fork in September 1980. Jennifer was a wonderful devoted wife and homemaker, she loved to cook and can all things from her garden. She helped, side by side, with her husband, build two houses, from the ground up. Their house was a revolving door for children of all ages, including several foster children. She loved being called “Momma Jennifer.” She was well known for her home-packed lunches, for all of the “away games.” All of the kids wanted to trade for her baked goods and homemade bread.

Jennifer loved the Lord and loved being a Sunday School teacher and assisting Tom in the bus ministry, going door to door, every Saturday, visiting families. Sunday morning, they would go pick kids up and take them to church. She always had homemade cookies for the kid’s snacks.

In 2000, she went to work for Timber Ridge Boarding School. She did not have a high school diploma, so at the age of 50, she got her GED, something she was very proud of. She loved to drive for Timber Ridge, and when the school closed, she went to work for the Monarch School.

Jennifer loved being a grandnma, her house was always loud and full of laughs. Her most fun was her “fart machine!” She loved the element of surprise! Her sense of humor and huge loving heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Jennifer is survived by her sister, Becky Krewson of Portland, Oregon; her three children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to sign Jennifer’s online guestbook at coffeltfuneral.com.

Jennifer’s final arrangements have been entrusted to Coffelt Funeral Service.
