Sandra Lucille Santino, 84

Sandra Lucille Santino, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at her home near Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Kuhn of Mountain Springs Church officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Gamlin Lake Cemetery.

Sandra was born on November 4, 1937, in San Francisco, Calif., to Edward and Lucille Burke. She married Peter Santino on November 20, 1955 in Reno, Nev.

They made their home in South Lake Tahoe and Sandra was a blackjack dealer at Harvey’s Casino. They moved to Sandpoint in 1972 and she cooked at Don’s Drive-in, the Pastime, and Northside School. She also managed the Donkey Jaw.

They went back to the casinos in Wendover, Nev., for 10 years before retiring to Sandpoint. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, puzzles, and spending time at the Hideaway Lounge.

She is survived by her two sons, Peter (Elya) Santino and Michael Santino; two daughters, Kathy (Roger) Campbell and Sara Clark; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lola; and a brother, Edward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter Santino, and grandson David Clark.
