Wendy J. Strickley, 79

Wendy J. Strickley, 79, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, with her two daughters, Diana and Donna, by her side.

Wendy was widowed in 1972, leaving her with five children to raise on her own. She moved the family to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1980 from California. She loved her life raising her children and grandchildren and being outdoors, growing lots of flowers and veggies and feeding the birds.

Wendy is survived by her five children, Diana Strickley, Donna Totten, Teresa Boardman, Lisa Huppert and Paul Strickley; three brothers, Bruce Bitter, Allen Bitter and James Bitter; along with numerous grandchildren and nieces.

Wendy was preceded in death by her husband ,William Strickley; mother, Dorothy Bitter; father, George Bitter; and a sister, Bonny Schellinger.

A huge thank you to grandson Brandon Dumars for all the love and compassion you showed grandma with the many hours of sitting beside grandma when she was sick. It truly meant the world to her. Also, thank you to grandson Chris Strickley for the awesome visit you, your wife and kids had with grandma a few years ago. That visit touched her heart and she talked about it often.

At the request of Wendy, a private family service has been held.
