Bulldogs do well at Moscow Invite
MOSCOW — Sandpoint’s boys finished second and the Bulldog girls were third at the season-opening Moscow Invitational golf tournament Monday at the University of Idaho Golf Course.
Joey Aexel shot a 6-over-par 78 to lead the Sandpoint boys, who shot 340, 32 strokes behind first-place Coeur d’Alene.
Audrey Sheffler shot a 91 to lead the Bulldog girls, who shot a 375, 15 strokes behind first-place Coeur d’Alene.
After years of being a spring sport, golf in the 5A and 4A classifications in Idaho will be played in the fall for the next two years on a trial basis.
