Couple celebrating 60th anniversary

Jerry and Pat Lewis are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022.

They were married in Denver, Colorado, where they were both raised and educated. The newlyweds enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon trip to Banff, Canada.

On their honeymoon they happened to drive through the quiet little town of Sandpoint, Idaho. It was love at first sight coming across the Long Bridge. They bought their first piece of property on September 5, 1962.

Two years later after Jerry completed his degree in veterinary medicine, this young family of three and one big dog, moved to Sagle where they have lived for 58 years. Jerry started Pend Oreille Veterinary Service where he practiced for over 50 years and Pat taught preschool and later became a well-loved real estate agent. They have raised four children and have 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Congratulations to Pat and Jerry on 60 years of marriage.
