BOTTLE BAY FIRE AGAIN ON RAMPAGE
After weeks of smouldering, the fires in the Bottle bay country again broke loose Sunday, doing far more damage than three weeks ago. C.J. Rudine, who has extensive cedar holdings in that locality and lost only 40 acres of valuable timber in the last fire, estimates he has lost everything this time. Ed Haley lost 160 acres of cedar, red fir and half of his timber holdings causing a loss of fully $5000. The fire, though still raging, is much abated, but the extent of the territory swept is not yet known. The fire had its origin all of six weeks ago with an incipient blaze near the Northern Pacific tracks at the south end of the railway bridge.
