Schweitzer welcomes the fall season

SANDPOINT – It’s that time of year with colder weather coming, summer ending, and children returning to school. It also means that it’s time for Schweitzer Fall Fest.

For the last weekend of summer operations, Sept. 2-5, the resort will be transformed into the annual beer tasting event, Fall Fest.

The event will feature over 80 beers, ciders, seltzer, and a select number of wines. There will also be plenty of live music supplied by 10 bands over the four-day event, starting Friday afternoon.

Found on the tennis courts near the bottom of the Great Escape Quad, the beer tent will never be far away. In the village, local arts and craft vendors will be present and folks can grab a bite to eat in the nearby food courts.

While this event is for adults, the younger crowd — or anyone else — gets to see their own options With an assortment of flavors, kids will be able to create their own flavors at the soda station.

Along with other souvenir items, commemorative Fall Fest souvenir glassware will be on sale all weekend as well.

The chair lift will be operational during the event for sightseeing, hiking, and mountain biking. Or ride up the Great Escape Quad and visit Sky House at the top of the mountain.
