Wendy Gallup, 56
Wendy Leigh Gallup, 56, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, near Sandpoint, Idaho. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring.
Wendy was born Dec. 22, 1965, in Yuma, Ariz., to Stanley and Marla Burke. She grew up and attended schools in Boise, graduating from Meridian High School in 1984.
Wendy married Ancil Irminger of Boise in 1987. They raised three children, one from a previous marriage and two together, and operated a construction company, later divorcing.
Wendy married Casey Gallup Aug. 19, 2006, in Coeur d’Alene, and they operated a mobile truck and equipment repair business. In 2021, they moved to Sandpoint to build their forever home. In the short time settled near Sandpoint, she loved walking her piece of the woods in the presence of wildlife and simplicity.
Wendy enjoyed traveling, fishing and boating, but especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her love for Christmastime and snow leaves little doubt that the current winter wonderland we are experiencing today was called for by Wendy, to give her soul a final, soft place to rest as she left this world.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Casey Gallup of Sandpoint; daughter Kayla (Kevin) Davis of Boise; sons Justin Haugse of Reno, Dillon Irminger of Sandpoint and Quinn Gallup of Boise; four grandchildren, Lucille, Ronan, Kyler and Haden; mother Marla (Dave) Fleming of Nampa, Idaho; sister Lorri (Tom) Barrett of Caldwell, Idaho, and brother Ron (Jessica) Burke of Deary, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her father.
