Patricia Parting, 79

| December 8, 2022 1:00 AM

Patricia (Pat) Parting, 79, of Clark Fork, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 2, 2022, surrounded by family.

Pat was born on Oct. 12, 1943, to the late Harold and Elizabeth Leitch in Albany, N.Y. Pat eventually moved with her family to Toledo, Ohio, where she always had fond memories of working in the drive-in theaters that her parents managed.

After a whirlwind romance of three months, she married Peter J. Parting on Oct. 25, 1963. Peter and Pat raised their family in Kankakee, Ill., before eventually moving to Clark Fork, Idaho, in their later years.

Pat is survived by her five children: Tracy Parting of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Peter Parting of Kankakee, Ill., Heidi Lickert of Arizona, Brian Parting of Loganville, Ga., and Tina Parting of Herscher, Ill. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pat loved camping with her family and traveling across the country in their camper. She was so talented at painting, woodworking and crocheting. She enjoyed puzzle books and watching her favorite shows.

You never wanted to say you had a headache, because her favorite saying back at you would be at least it’s not a butt ache. Another favorite saying was “This, too, shall pass.” Pat was the glue that held the family together and leaves behind so many beautiful and funny memories. She will be greatly missed.

At the request of the family, there are no funeral arrangements at this time.
