COEUR d’ALENE — A man convicted of sexually abusing a child will spend up to 15 years in prison.
Josh O. Anderson, 34, of Spirit Lake, was convicted in July of two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 16.
Judge Barbara Duggan sentenced Anderson in late November to 15 years in prison, with parole eligibility after three years.
Prosecutors said Anderson “engaged in sexual contact” with a child between 2013 and 2015, when Anderson was in his mid-20s and the child was younger than 8 years old.
Though Anderson reportedly admitted to some of the conduct when interviewed by police, he denied committing the crimes during sentencing.
