Property tax deadline nears

| December 14, 2022 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — The first half of the 2022 property taxes are due by Dec. 20, officials with Bonner County Treasurer's Office said.

The office, which is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is located in the Bonner County Administration Building, 1500 U.S. 2, Suite 304 (third floor) in Sandpoint. There also is a payment drop box that is monitored by video surveillance 24/7 located outside at the front of the building to the right of the entrance doors. The drop box is for check payments only.

Please make sure that you have included your payment stub(s) or the account number is written on the check. Payments that are being mailed must be postmarked by Dec. 20 to avoid additional fees. The mailing address for the Treasurer's Office is 1500 U.S. 2, Suite 304, Sandpoint, ID 83864.

Payments can also be made online or through the Treasurer's Office using a credit or debit card or electronic check.  Processing fees will apply. Those interested can contact the office at 208-265-1433 for additional information. Partial payments are also accepted.

If you have a mobile home that is assessed as personal property and you are unable to pay the first half payment by Dec. 20, Treasurer Clorrisa Koster advised those residents to contact the office before Dec. 20 to see about a mobile home extension.
