Jesse Hellinger, 59

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, Jesse E. Hellinger, loving husband and father of three boys, passed away at the age of 59.

Jesse was born April 3, 1963, in French Camp, Calif., to Eugene and Jean (White) Hellinger. He received a degree in microbiology and worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing for many years. On Sept. 24, 1983, Jesse married Denise Pirner and they raised three sons, Joshua, Justin and Jesse. On March 9, 2013, he married Lisa Wink, who was his best friend. They enjoyed spending time with their combined seven kids and 16 grandkids.

Jesse had a passion for football, wrestling and the outdoors. He translated his passion for sports into coaching and mentoring youth and high school athletes. His coaching and overall presence had a profound impact on all those he came in contact with. He was loved and admired by so many and changed their lives for the better. Jesse had a personality and presence that you could not forget. His love for the savior was apparent to all.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Eugene; and mother, Jean. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, and their seven children: Roy, Joshua, Brandon, Justin, Brittni, Sonia, Jesse and James and their grandchildren and his sister, Brenda McElroy.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3281 U.S. 2, Priest River, ID 83856 at noon. A service will be held for all his friends and family in California at a later date.
