What are the facts regarding health district?

| December 25, 2022 1:00 AM

The Kootenai Health Board article (Dec. 14, 2022) identifies, “The transition will mean Kootenai Health will no longer be a governmental entity and will not have the right to assess taxes on the community …”

This is misinformation, or, it creates a problem for BGH who already has the non-profit status and collects $1.4 million in annual ad-valorem/property taxes through the Pend Oreille Hospital District. POHD tax money is voted monthly for the exclusive use of BGH and through crony-capitalism, a dual POHD/BGH board membership, the POHD purposely denies to other local healthcare providers, Kaniksu and alternative medical providers needed funding.

The POHD has avoided a vote to deny the public wish to stop mandated masking and vaccinations within the clinic environments it funds. Given the absolute mountain of evidence that vaccinations are not “safe and effective” and will have years, if not generations, of harmful medical and financial consequences on the vaccinated and their families, why does the POHD fear truth, honesty and transparency…, CDC, BGH, and soon-to-be WHO dollars and mandates.

The POHD closed their ENT clinic as of Oct. 31,2022. Through a clinical services agreement contracted in 2019, and most recently changed and authorized in August 2022, the POHD continues to avoid taxpayer and voter approval, pursuant to I.C.39-1339, for indebtedness, implied obligation, secondary liability funding. ENT equipment, public property, needs to be sold as a fiduciary duty. However, conflict of interest prevails at the POHD.

A POHD election will be May 16, 2023.
