DAR chapters honors local veterans

Wild Horse Trail Chapter members of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently held a short ceremony to honor veterans as part of National Wreaths Across America Day.
The event was held Dec. 17 at the VFW building.
Because of early November and December snow and extreme cold weather, the chapter’s regular wreath-laying ceremony at Westmond Ceremony was canceled. Previously sponsored wreaths were redirected to Pines Cemetery in Spokane to assist in ensuring that no veteran gravesite goes without a wreath.
