Gary Paul Wells, 64

Gary Paul Wells, 64, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at his home in Sagle, Idaho.

Services will be held at a later date.

Gary was born on June 16, 1957, in Newport, Washington, to Bob and Connie Wells. He lived in Priest River, Idaho, until he entered the first grade in Sandpoint, Idaho. Gary graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1975. He attended Idaho State University and earned his associate degree in electronics. He then spent one year on Kwajalein Island setting up their electronics. Upon his return, Gary earned his electrical engineering degree from Montana State University.

He returned to Sandpoint and worked construction. In April of 1998 he joined the WIS Seaming company in Ponderay, Idaho. For the past 24 years he has been a valued and dedicated employee as an electronic engineer. He built and programmed equipment connected to the paper industry. He traveled to numerous facilities throughout the United States, Canada, Austria, and Brazil. His co-workers will miss his knowledge, work ethics, personality and sense of humor.

Gary was liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing skiing, fishing and camping. He loved his dogs Kilo, Toby, and especially Lucy.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Wells of Sagle; three brothers, Bob (Julie) Wells of Portland, Vern (Lynn) Wells of Sandpoint, and Bruce (Donna) Wells of Sandpoint; his nieces and nephews, Melissa Wells of Billings, Montana, Nichole Anderson of Columbus, Montana, Tove Moloco of Portland, Molly Benefield of Sandpoint, Emily Evans of Anchorage, Alaska, and Amy Heinrich of Omaha, Nebraska.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Bob and Connie Wells; and an infant sister.
