Jane Victoria (Vickie) Johnson, 76

Jane Victoria (Vickie) Johnson, 76, of Cocolalla, Idaho, passed away on February 15, 2022, in her home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 25, at Coffelt Funeral Chapel in Sandpoint, Idaho, There will be a reception following at the Cocolalla Cowboy Church.

Vickie was born to Percy and Doris Erickson in Pasco, Washington on April 8, 1945. She attended various schools in the Northwest and made many of her lifelong friends in the Sandpoint area.

Vickie was married to Leland Johnson on October 31, 1963; they were married 45 years. During those years, they spent time in California, Washington, Alaska, and Idaho. During that time, Vickie was a homemaker and helped her husband run Johnson’s Christmas Trees for many years. Leland and Vickie returned to Cocolalla from Alaska in June of 1991 when they finally “retired.” After retirement, Leland and Vickie went out on another adventure from coast to coast “hot shot” trucking, making long hauls. In more recent years she was actively involved in the A&W Club and the Cowboy Church.

Vickie is survived by her sons; Russell and Deanna Johnson of San Diego, California, and Eric and Karrie Johnson of Cocolalla; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Johnson of San Diego; sister Kathleen Jackson of Dayton, Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws; her sister, Virginia Strole; her niece, Elizabeth Henshel; and her nephew, Eugene (Gene) Strole.
