Louis (Beau) Schilling

Louis (Beau) Schilling succumbed to COPD at his home in Cocolalla, Idaho, on January 1, 2022, in the arms of his loving wife, Edna.

Beau was born to Louis and Doris Schilling on October 1, 1939, in Rockaway Beach, New York, where he and his three siblings grew up.

He pursued a career as an elevator constructor in New York City where he engineered the installation of elevators for skyscrapers. He had an active love for football, car racing, camping, target shooting, gun smithing, motorcycling riding, cooking, and woodworking. He played Santa in Sandpoint for many years, and was an active member of the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Sandpoint.

Beau is survived by his wife Edna; and his children Lawrence, Jamie, Michael and Susan; and preceded in death by his son Louis.

Beau leaves behind his sisters' family, the Siders and Hartells, as well as the Lamberts and Werhners.

A special thanks to Hospice for all their support and loving care.

Beau will have a celebration of life in the spring at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. Date to be announced.
