Nevaeh Therrien grabs Helltown Throwdown title
HELENA, Mont. — Nevaeh Therrien, an eighth grader at Sandpoint Middle School, claimed the 99-pound title in the girls middle school division at the Helltown Throwdown on Jan. 8-9 in Helena, Montana.
Therrien went a perfect 3-0, winning all of her matches by pin.
Six other Sandpoint Legacy wrestlers competed in the tournament. Vanessa Hood was first at 87 pounds in the girls middle school division, and Dalton Regehr grabbed the title at 71 pounds in the 10U intermediate division.
Maxx Watson (78 pounds, 12U novice) and Zak Wood (82 pounds, 12U novice) both secured second-place finishes, and Summer Birch (83 pounds, 12U girls novice) took home third.
Clarissa Birch (50 pounds, 8U girls bantam) and Tyler Wood (74 pounds, 12U novice) both placed fifth.
