SHS alum Hannah Davidson runs PR in mile
LINCOLN, Neb. — Hannah Davidson, a 2018 Sandpoint grad, ran a personal best time in the mile this past weekend.
Davidson, who holds the school record in the girls 800, 1600 and mile at SHS, posted a PR of 5:02.40 at the Nebraska Mark Colligan Memorial Invitational while competing for Utah State University. The time allowed the sophomore to finish fifth in the event.
Davidson, a four-year track and cross country athlete, racked up the accolades during her time at Sandpoint High. She was a key piece on three Bulldog cross country teams that placed at state, and was a freshman on the 2014 team that took home the program's third state title. She also medaled three times as an individual at state.
On the track, she medaled in the 800 at state all four years — fifth in 2015, second in 2016 and third in 2017 and 2018. As a senior, she medaled in three events at state — 800, 1600 and pole vault.
Davidson, who has earned academic All-Mountain West and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors, will be competing in the University of Washington Invitational today and Saturday.
