Leony Baker

| January 29, 2022 1:00 AM

Leony Baker was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Leony moved to Idaho in 1987 to start her family where her only child was born 4 years later. She enjoyed adventuring to new places, partying with her friends and visiting family.

Leony married the love of her life, Jeff Baker, in 1997. They recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this month. Leony and Jeff enjoyed many adventures together with some of their favorites being trips to see the California Redwoods and a vacation to Hawaii.

Leony often traveled home to the Philippines to see her parents, four brothers and many nieces and nephews, and kept in close contact with all of them. She cared deeply for her family.

Not only was Leony a loving family member to all, she was also a great friend. Her closest friends of 20 and 30 plus years recall her more like a sister who was always up for an adventure and someone who they could rely on without a doubt.

Her unmatched care for family and friends, adventurous heart and ability to talk for hours will be treasured and deeply missed by all.

Leony Baker is survived by her husband, Jeff Baker; son, Kyle Foutch and his wife Ali Foutch; mother Henerosa Mantiquilla; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Felipe Mantiquilla.

A celebration of life will be held in the warmer months to allow travel time for the family.

Sherman-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Services in Priest River is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at shermancampbell.com.
