Danny Lynn Dozier, 74

Danny Lynn Dozier, 74, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home near Sandpoint, Idaho after an extended illness.

Private family services have been held.

Dan was born on October 15, 1947, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to William and Betty Jo Dozier. In school, he enjoyed football, music and art and graduated from Rock Hill High School. He later earned a degree in advertising and graphic design from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C.

Dan began his career in advertising in Charlotte, North Carolina, and later relocated to Falmouth, Massachusetts, where he met his wife Karen Burket. They married on May 7, 1993, in Centerville, Massachusetts.

Dan and Karen enjoyed taking ski trips out west and, in 2002, the couple moved to Sandpoint to live and to ski. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, kayaking on the lake, hiking in the mountains, and traveling.

Dan is survived by his wife, Karen Dozier of Sandpoint; mother, Betty Jo Dozier of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sister, Judi Dozier of Myrtle Beach; and brother, Kevin Dozier of Columbia, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Kerry Dozier.
