Joe Timothy Hunt, 58

Joe Timothy Hunt, 58, slipped into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, between 12 and 4 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Sandpoint.

Joe was born October 11, 1963, in Orange, California, to Stanford and Colleen (Pierce) Hunt. He spent most of his life in Sandpoint, graduating from Sandpoint High School. He married Joni Lindley shortly after graduating, they divorced after several years, but they have remained good friends. He worked at several of the local cut shops and restaurants. He always had a smile and kind work for everyone.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Steve, John, Jim; brother-in-law Jim Forsmann; and longtime partner, Barbara Bullock.

He is survived by his daughters, Heidi DeMaris of Beaverton, Oregon, Jamie Engelson of Naselle, Washington, and Brittney (Rob) Lantto of Sandpoint; brother, Dave (Millie) Hunt of Sandpoint; sisters, Holly (Roy) Stevenson of Logandale, Nevada,, Molly Forsmann, Carrie Peters, Betsy Hunt, Amy (Doug) Dexter, all of Sandpoint, Jenny Leen of St. Maries, Idaho; grandchildren, Jackson, Cody, Joe, Cortland, Ezikiah, Jonathan, Nikki, Robbie, and Mariah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
