Without sinners, Bible wouldn’t contain much

| July 10, 2022 1:00 AM

Lee Santa somehow felt the need to write a letter attacking Christianity on June 28. He cites several esoteric sources in defense of his view of crucifixion, a very warped view by any definition.

He writes that the original crucifixion was of “Chrishna (aka Krishna) about 3200 years ago.” And this Krishna was supposedly an inference to Jesus Christ, even though Jesus was crucified about a thousand years later. Mr. Santa needs to get his facts in order.

Jesus was both the son of man and the son of God because that is exactly what he was, not because of any reference to paganism. Contrary to Mr. Santa’s occultic beliefs, Christianity is a pure religion, blessed by the God it worships. Lee Santa shall not be allowed to tell lies about the Christian religion. That is not his prerogative.

Mr. Santa’s statement that “Christianity owes a great deal to paganism” is true. If not for paganism, there would be no sinners; if not for sinners, there would be no forgiveness. But at the same time, if there were no pagans, there would not be people like Lee Santa, who live to attack Christians and the Christian religion.

If not for sinners, there would not be much left in the Bible. It is because of sin that Jesus was crucified. He paid the price for our sins so that we may be saved.
