NEWS FROM THE PENINSULA

Quite a number from the (Glengary) Peninsula attended the Fourth of July celebration in Sandpoint.

Mr. and Mrs. John Van Schravendyk spent Sunday night at the E.A. Melvin home.

A good rain fell here Friday. We hope hot weather is over, as the thermometer read 94 several days lately.

Johnnie Cochennette was quite severely bitten by a dog belonging to Mr. Ricard, and was taken to the doctor Monday for treatment.
