GNDG to host doubles tourney in August

The Great Northern Disc Golf Association is back with another tournament at the Baldfoot Disc Golf Course.
The association will be hosting “Double Trouble Baldfoot Bash” powered by Innova doubles tournament on Saturday, Aug. 13.
This is the association’s second tournament of the year and first doubles tournament of 2022.
The tournament will be played through two rounds. Team’s playing on the main course will throw from their best shot, while those on the kids course will be playing from the worst shot.
On the main course, team’s will choose their best shot. On the kids course, the other team will determine what the worst shot is.
The Great Northern Disc Golf Association will be handing out cash prizes in both the open class and Jack n Jill class.
The association will also be giving out a custom stamped disc to the advanced and junior divisions.
Check-in for the tournament will start at 7:30 a.m. and wrap up at 8:45 a.m. Following check-in, there will be a players meeting for round one that starts at 8:45 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9:20 a.m.
There will be a 45-60 minute lunch break after the final playing card gets turned in.
Round two of the tournament will begin at approximately 1:40 p.m. Following the second round, the group will hand out awards.
Prices for the open division and Jack and Jill division will be $30 per player. The junior division will be $20 and the advanced division will be $25.
