| July 15, 2022 1:00 AM

“No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love, or prepare our hearts for goodbye”

Lynnell Herbener Lingo, 71, passed on July 3,2022, peacefully at home after a sudden but brief bout with cancer. Lynn, as most people knew her as, was born in Whittier, California, on May 4, 1951, to Richard and Alice Herbener. One of four daughters, Lynn grew up in La Habra, California, and graduated from high school in 1969.

Lynn made her big move to North Idaho in 1976 and mainly resided in Priest River for the last 45 years. She moved to be near her closest friends and extended family, the Brennans. They all meant the world to her. Also, to live the country lifestyle that the people of her generation sought.

She very much enjoyed hanging out with her good friends, going to music concerts, working in the garden and potluck parties. She also polished up quite nicely in her infinity for nice clothes.

Her first and foremost “love” were her children and grandchildren which she poured her heart and soul into, they were her world until her very last breath.

Lynn was a beautiful, kind, gentle spirit and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Alice Herbener, Niece Clarissa Grigoleit, “love of her life” David Lingo and son Shad Brennan.

She is survived by sisters, Kim Campbell and husband Chuck, Shawn Van Hook and husband Kris, and Kari van der Aa and husband Frans; her children, Travis Lingo, Jessica Benson and Michelle Feller; many nieces and nephews; and her grandchildren, Makia Baier, Caden Brennan, Hunter Peterson, Logan Lingo, and Evan and Carly Feller; and her great-granddaughter, Jenna Baier.

Special thanks go out to Jessica and Cain Benson for all the loving care given to “Mom” in her final days to maker her comfortable and surrounded by love.

“Spread your wings and fly away our sweet lil Lynnell” until we meet again!

There will be a celebration of life at Priest River City Park behind the Chevron station on Sunday, July 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. with a potluck/appetizers.
