Colorado woman dies after ATV crash
A 47-year-old Colorado resident died Tuesday from injuries sustained in an ATV crash earlier in the day, according to Idaho State Police.
ISP troopers responded to an area hospital after receiving a report of a single-vehicle crash that occurred earlier in the evening, sometime between 4-5 p.m.
According to an ISP press release, a 47-year-old female, of Loveland, Colorado, was driving a 2017 Polaris ATV (all-terrain vehicle), with a 44-year-old female passenger, also of Loveland. The pair were southbound in the 10300 block of Trestle Creek Road, when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and crashed. ISP said both occupants were transported by a private vehicle to a local hospital.
It is believed both occupants were wearing helmets. The 47-year-old female driver succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The next of kin has been notified and this remains an active investigation by Idaho State Police.
