Givens wins singles at Baldfoot Disc Golf Course

Michael Givens and Karl Kleinkauf battled for the singles league crown on Tuesday, July 19 at the Baldfoot Disc Golf Course.

The two familiar foes went shot-for-shot during the event, but it was ultimately Michael Givens who came away with the victory.

Givens finished with a score of 51, four under par. Kleinkauf finished with a score of 52, three under par.

The two had matching scores up until the seventh hole, where Kleinkauf gained a one-stroke lead.

Givens quickly tied things up again on hole nine following a birdie.

The nail in Kleinkauf's coffin came on hole 13.

Givens only parred the hole, but an uncharacteristic double bogey from Kleinkauf gave Givens the lead again.

Givens kept his distance and sealed the victory throughout the final five holes.

There was a tie at the third place position.

Both Daniel Pfeifer and Jared Hughes finished the round with a score of 54, one under par.

The league will be back in action for doubles on Friday, July 22.
