Youth sets sights on state pageant

| July 21, 2022 1:00 AM

Thanks to the community, Rylie Gantenbein is getting support on her road to becoming Little Miss Idaho USA.

To help raise funds to take part in the program, Gantenbein held a lemonade stand earlier this month. She is having another one at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at 620 N. Fifth Ave., next to the Flying Fish in Sandpoint.

Gantenbein, 7, has a heart of gold, is always happy and looking for her next adventure in life, family members said.

"If you ever need a friend she's always there to pick you up," they said. "She enjoys anything outdoors and living her life for her family and God."

This will be Gantenbein's first pageant, and family members said it offers a great opportunity for young girls to work on public speaking skills, confidence and making new friends .

Gantenbein will be taking the title of Little Miss Sandpoint to represent her hometown along with the current Miss Sandpoint USA 2023. The state program will be held Sept. 10-11.

Lemonade is $1 per cup and the community is invited to stop by to help the youth in her quest.
