It’s been two years since Clark Fork High School hosted its annual elementary track meet, but on Friday, May 27, it returned to the high school.

It was a treat to the athletes, spectators, and workers alike that the weather was clear with blue skies.

The annual meet features athletes from all of the elementary schools in the Lake Pend Oreille School District.

The athletes competed in several track and field events including the softball throw, long jump, 4x100 meter relay, and 50,100, and 200 meter races.

Washington Elementary School ended up taking home the team title.

Wampy, the Clark Fork High School mascot kept everyone entertained between the events.

The meet was put on by Kelly Woodmansee and her leadership class, along with some help from the entire Clark Fork High School staff, student body and surrounding community.

Clark Fork is looking to host the event again next year.
