Deer breaks garage window

A stray deer passing through Priest River does not ordinarily excite much comment, but it is not often that one walks into a garage and goes out through the window on the opposite side of the building. One of the attendants closed the door behind the deer and it jumped through a window, leaving an opening of 12x24 inches. Two panes of glass were taken out clean without breaking the other several panes. The deer proceeded up the schoolhouse hill, where it jumped a wire fence on the John Dodge lot and broke its neck in attempting to jump the opposite side. The young buck was dressed and the meat is being sold from the city Market.
